Yosemite National Park

Yosemite is regarded as one of the most spectacular places on earth. Tremendous hiking and camping abounds in Yosemite Valley and other areas of the park.

Pinnacles National Monument

Pinnacles NM offers great hiking, caving, bird watching. There is a private campground near the entrance of the park, but no campsites within Pinnacles itself.

Golden Gate National Recreation Area
GGNRA encompasses Alcatraz, Fort Point, Golden Gate Park, and other areas in San Francisco. Campsites with spectacular views of the bridge and the city are found at Kirby Cove in the Marin Headlands

Point Reyes National Seashore

With magnificent ocean views and over 1000 species of plants and animals, Point Reyes is an excellent location for a coastal backpacking or camping trip. Great hiking can be found both in the forests and along the rugged coastline.
